George Fell grew up in the hills near Manchester. He began performing his guitar instrumentals and arrangements in his mid teens, his music developed from a love of early country blues and bluegrass. Over time it expanded to incorporate elements of ska, electronica, Latin, jazz and soul music. His compositions are energetic pieces driven by intricate fingerstyle guitar techniques.

 

His unique yet adaptable style of playing that he developed has led to some colourful collaborations over the years including Bez (Happy Mondays), Zed Bias and DJ Yoda. As a solo performer and in various projects he has performed at many of the UK’s most prestigious venues and festivals including Glastonbury, Boomtown Fair and Manchester International Festival.
