Angelica Mode

Angelica Mode

Angelica Mode are an indie rock outfit from Scotland made up of singer-songwriter, guitarist and singer Brian Hughes, brother Martin Hughes on bass guitar and synth duties, with the line-up being completed by Steven Eddie on drums.

Since forming Angelica Mode have had some notable recognition, not least in joining the likes of The Fratellis and KT Tunstall in performing a coveted Scotsman Session, and also received national press coverage, with the Scotsman “Under The Radar” column noting, “It (Your Love Is All The Rage), establishes Angelica Mode as an act to watch”. A fact backed by singer Brian having also shared the stage with superstar Lewis Capaldi during his rise to fame.

Taking influence as much from musical poets like Dylan and Cohan, as they do from tortured poets like Yeats and Behan, songwriter Brian Hughes aims to keep the rebel spirit of his countrymen alive in his music.

Angelica Mode have played shows across the UK and Scotland, including playing in Brighton during 2024s The Great Escape festival, and playing across the city during the Edinburgh Fringe festival. Their latest single, “Tell Tale Heart”, has racked up over 25,000 plays since it’s release in November 2024.
